Today we were a small group during our MMA training. Our trainer, a newcomer, an existing member, and me. The workout started with some ground and pound on a pad alternating with kicks and punches on the punching bag. Then in pairs, we practiced some kick and punch combinations, takedowns and submissions. To finish the workout, we sparred for about 25 minutes. At the end of the training, I asked the newcomer what he thought of the training. He had the exact same reaction as me when I had my first MMA class, “This is a little different than soccer, I thought I had fitness.”
